You know hurricanes have the speed of the storm or the peace of the eye. Where are you?

I woke up this morning thankful for a new day. It was another grey day but when circumstances in life are swirling, each precious day still has potential for greatness.

A family misunderstanding, expectations not met, health crises and crazy weather ? quite a disturbance for 48 hours. After each occurred, there was an emotional response. I make the choice to refocus to the One who is in charge, remember His compassions are new every morning, and take the next step. That?s the difference between focusing on the Eye (my Lord and Savior) or the storm.

Chaos and storms are uncontrollable, like our emotions and our feelings. Watching the clouds of life move in strange and mysterious ways make us feel unstable, insecure, and indecisive ? frustrated even. But when in the eye of the storm, the peaceful quiet resumes and prepares us for the next ?whirling dervish.?

My ?Eye? is my precious Savior ? the one who died for me and loves me unconditionally. He is with me always and His precious hand leads me along the way. His Word strengths and provides a true ?plumb line? for living. And, when I focus on Him my world steadies. As He watches me and I focus on Him, we have eye-to-eye contact. Therein is peace. He is the one who brings me along the victorious path. He is the one who sustains and restores my soul. He is the one that gives me hope. He is my all in all.

LOOK TO THE LAMB OF GOD

(Google the hymn for all verses)

If you from sin are longing to be free,

Look to the Lamb of God

He, to redeem you, died on Calvary,

Look to the Lamb of God

Look to the Lamb of God, Look to the Lamb of God

For He alone is able to save you, Look to the Lamb of God.
