You want to live a victorious life but waste it on things which are vacuous?
My eyes were glazed and my lids heavy. After spending a couple of hours watching TV with my hubby the other night, this $20,000 word popped into my mind. Although it was nice to sit next to my precious man, what we were watching was purely vacuous (definition: empty, lacking content).
Then I started thinking about the percent of waking time that was not being productive?not emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally or socially. I want my life to count for the Lord to be productive and useful in these areas.
But my guess is that I waste a good portion of my daily life on things with no value to self or others?temporally or spiritually. I want this to change. So going to the Lord, I?m repenting and asking for direction on how to live a victorious, productive life.
You may want to use this idea for setting time goals in your life. To be productive to my Lord, myself and others:
Emotionally: I will start by_____________________________________________________________
With the end result being___________________________________________________________
Physically: I will start by_____________________________________________________________
With the end result being___________________________________________________________
Spiritually: I will start by_____________________________________________________________
With the end result being___________________________________________________________
Mentally: I will start by_____________________________________________________________
With the end result being___________________________________________________________
Socially: I will start by_____________________________________________________________
With the end result being___________________________________________________________
I know I have some lazy habits and need to create some new ones. It?s like exercising. It takes a while to develop ?new muscle.? God has some things to say about whether we are fruitful or not.
?For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.? 2 Peter 1:8-9
I?ve taken the blog name, ?Blooming Victorious.? As I watch the beautiful flowers on my deck unfold, I want my life to unfold beautifully, as well. God can use any of us at any age. I?m counting on the days to come, that even though older, He can use me in mysterious and wonderful ways?a victorious not vacuous individual. Praise His name.
?They shall still bear fruit in old age. They shall be fresh and flourishing, to declare the LORD is upright. He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him.? Psalms 92:14-15
